Whilst completing the Core Accreditation through ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, I realised the importance of sharing my Lifestyle Medicine knowledge not just for staff to impart to patients but also for fellow staff themselves to empower everyone to make informed choices based on the 6 Pillars of LM. Staff from all disciplines across both primary and secondary care have joined and we meet online in a lunchtime every 2-3 months usually with a speaker who can talk ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø one of the Pillars of LM . I also set up a chair yoga group with a friend who runs Edinburgh Community Yoga for patients locally suffering from fibromyalgia/chronic pain/mental health problems . They meet weekly and we have had amazingly positive feedback on the benefits of being more physically active and a weekly social interaction on pain levels , mood , confidence and sleep pattern. We incorporate some simple advice on healthy nutrition into the class every so often and this has encouraged people to make some healthier changes in what they eat.
